Understanding your prostate cancer diagnosis
Before discussing prostate cancer treatment, your consultant will ensure you have a clear understanding of your diagnosis. Prostate cancer is graded using the Gleason score, which reflects how aggressive the cancer cells appear under a microscope. Your stage and grade will directly inform which treatment options are most appropriate for you. Key factors considered when planning prostate cancer treatment include:
